real nice intro, hush it's lush. again with the 4 to the floor beat, it's not wrong i just don't like it hahah. message me when you've made some avantegaurde-breakbeat-jazz-liftmusic-deathmetal-funk-darkw

hey hey,
yeh, this really ain't my cup o tea but to your credit it is well done, production is really rather good, it's just all a little generic, not many surprises. that doesn't make it bad just doesn't do much for me, i bet there's a thousand people on NG who would disagree so don't take any notice;/

hey...

...sounding pretty darn good if you ask me. is all a bit floaty, i think a little less reverb on the drums would go far to bring it all a little closer.
i'm digging the ambiguous plaidy melody.
nice track

thanks for the review! glad you liked it

yo
the switch after the intro to the piano part was unexpected but worked real nice. gorgeous melody. as it progresses and the strings come in and that there are some real moments of gold. i like the way this doesn't get lazy, keeps moving and progressing.
good job

haha, i like the clunky childish piano at the start. takes on a different feel when the beat and bass comes in. has a really cool ambiguous major minor feel to it when it's in full flow.

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

haha, glad you were able to notice the quality differences in the piano at the start and in the rest of the song...thanks for reviewing my work man.

Yes - I will change my name to DJ-Overdose and make only trance and techno to be featured in the next DDR game - then people will finally like me.

Maybe ~=:{DJ-DateRape}:=~ , that has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

not normally a fan of synth geetar but they're used pretty tastefully here. the beats are really strong.
great mood, the track reminds me of the old days playing castlevania... and listening to dimmu borgir...
track flows and builds well, production is not far off spot on either.
5 from me, you put a lot of work into this

Erectronik responds:

Thanks man, castlevania is one of my inspirations :p

hehe, yeh does have a kind of shanty feel to it. has quite a gamish sound, i like it. i saw pirates the other night, depp was great 'i'm washing my hands of this wierdness...' classic.
melodic content is nice, sound is pretty good, the drums seem a little lost but it's a small point. oh, would be nice if was extended with a contrasting section maybe.

WritersBlock responds:

Hey, thanks for the review. It seems most of my stuff has a "game" sorta sound... even when I'm not trying. The two flaws you picked up on are an ongoing problem with my stuff, although I think I'll get control of my drum programming skills soon. And the contrast, it was something I've been told about my other stuff too, so I'll keep that in mind.
Thanks.
